Ann V. Beck

Emily “Ann” Vasey Beck, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the age of 92. She was born on May 10, 1933 to her parents, J. Howard Vasey and Emma S. Kretschmer. A lifelong resident of Solebury Towsnhip, Ann was raised on a farm in Carversville and was a proud graduate of New Hope-Solebury High School. In l955 Ann married local Buckingham farmer, Newton L. Beck. Together they worked side by side for 60 years, building a family real estate and new home construction business. Ann was an integral part of the business and took great pride in its growth and success.

She spent many summer weekends at her home on Lake Wallenpaupak, where she enjoyed entertaining family and friends with her generous and welcoming nature.Ann was an enthusiastic golfer and en-joyed many good times with friends at Fairways Golf Club, where she played until the age of 90. She also bowled in her ladies’ league, The Kitchen Kapers for more than 30 years, continuing until the age of 92.

In addition, Ann volunteered for many years at Penn Medicine Doylestown Hospital and with the Midway Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, of which she was a lifetime member.

Ann is survived by her children:daughter, Diane Beck-Werner, her husband, Ernest W. Werner, II; son, Newton L. Beck, Jr., his wife, Karen Beck; her grandchildren: Ernest W. Werner, III, his wife, Kimberly; Emily Conover, her husband, Brian; Dylan Beck and Kyle Beck,as well as her great-grandchildren: Avery and Colton Conover; Abigail and Victoria Werner and her brother, Charles E. Kretschmer, and his wife, Rosemary.
