Anne R. MacFarlane-Reynolds

May 6, 1925 — December 10, 2025

Doylestown, Pennsylvania

Anne "Nancy" MacFarlane-Reynolds passed away peacefully on December 10th at the age of 100 at her home in Doylestown.

Born in Philadelphia on May 6th, 1925, Anne was the daughter of the late Edna and Frank Rountree. She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth (Betty). Initially living in Brookline, she experienced the 1929 stock market crash when her family lost their home. After moving around a few times, they eventually ended up living at her grandparents' house in Havertown. Anne graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1943.

Anne met her first husband, the late Stanley Howard MacFarlane, at the age of 16. After Stan returned from serving in the Navy, they were married in 1946. They moved to Doylestown in 1954, and Anne has been a resident of Doylestown ever since. They had a great 47 years of marriage until Stan passed in March of 1994. Together, they raised five children.

Anne has been a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She also volunteered at Doylestown Hospital and served as a scout den leader. But most often, Anne could be seen on the sidelines supporting Stan as he coached different teams for Central Bucks High School/Central Bucks HS West.

Years after Stan passed away, Anne reconnected with a former friend whom she had known when she was in her twenties. Jack Reynolds came into her life and once again she was blessed with love and happiness. Anne and Jack married in 2004 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. They continued to reside in Doylestown.

Surviving along with her husband Jack, are her children, son Richard of Doylestown, daughter Kim and her husband, Rich Roberts of Hilltown, and son David of Churchville. She is also survived by her step-children, Diane Reynolds, John Reynolds, Robert Reynolds and Polly McPhail. She was a loving grandmother and will be greatly missed by Brian MacFarlane, Daniel MacFarlane, Molly Parker, Gabriel MacFarlane, Gina Fury, Larissa Girouard, Stephanie Mease, Scott Roberts, Justin Roberts, Shane MacFarlane and Alyssa Hutson. Anne also has many great-grandchildren as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty, first husband Stanley MacFarlane, son Peter (Donna) MacFarlane and daughter Linda MacFarlane.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, where relatives and friends will be received from 9 until 9:45 a.m.  Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
