Anthony Brescia

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony “Tony” Daniel Brescia, 96, of Doylestown, PA, who passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026.

He was blessed with a large and loving family and is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Brescia; his sister Barbara Dominguez; his children, Anthony Brescia Jr., Angela Wiberley, Robert and Lisa Brescia, and Lianna and Mark Doble. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jim and Andria Wiberley and their children Brooke, Kendall, Cole, Aubrey; Jackie and Michael Haas and their children Mackenzie, Mason and Charlie; Alison and Jason Gray and their children Rylan, Carter and Blake; Kelley and Michael DiBartolomeo; Anna and Grace Brescia; and Jack, Nicholas, Connor, and Jessica Doble. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mauro Brescia and Angelina Brescia; his brothers, Joseph and Carl Brescia; and his sister, Gloria Brescia, son-in-law Charles Wiberley and daughter-in-law Barbara Brescia.

After graduating from The City of New York-Baruch College, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Trade and Finance, Tony entered the U.S. Army, where he served as a Railway Locomotive Operator during the Korean War. Following his military service, Tony saw the potential of a new technology on the horizon—the computer—and decided to join Sperry Univac in 1955. It was there that he met Marie Hadik, whom he married in 1957. He continued his career with Sperry Univac until 1984.Retirement was short-lived. Tony continued to share his knowledge and experience, serving as the County of Bucks Information Technology Director until 2000.

Tony's life was about much more than work. He was actively involved in numerous social, civic, and fraternal organizations, including the Loyal Order of the Sons of Italy, Central Bucks B.J. Ventresca Lodge; the Bucks County Republican Committee; St. Joseph's Society of Mt. Carmel; the Mt. Carmel Men's Choir; the Knights of Columbus, Mt. Carmel; and American Legion Post 210.Tony will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his commitment to his community, and the many relationships he built throughout his long and fulfilling life.

Interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 11:30 AM.
