Barbara L. Lacey

Barbara L. Lacey of Furlong, PA, passed away at home on October 12, 2025. She was born on May 14, 1933 in Philadelphia PA to Mildred and Francis Carr. She is survived by her children; Thomas Lacey, Jr. (Kathy), Lynda Burns, Cynthia Jarret (David), and her sister Lynn Peay of Norristown PA. Barbara was Nana to Ryan Jarret, (Tara), Tina Burns, Daniel Burns, (Danielle), Katie Burke, (Ryan), Lisa Llewellyn (Chris), Michael Lacey, and Becky Lacey. She was predeceased by her grandson William Lacey. Barbara was an extra special Great Nana to fourteen great-grandchildren: Sean, Cade, Cameron, Amelia, Annabelle, Colin, Corinna, Theo, Parker, Ashton, Emily, Anthony, Coda, and Ava.

Barbara was the loving wife of Thomas J. Lacey, Sr. They met as teenagers on the train in Philadelphia. She married at 19, and they celebrated 72 wonderful years together. Tom passed away in March of 2022.

Barbara worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Lacey Auto Body. She was passionate about caring for wildlife and dedicated countless hours to raising orphaned animals for the Aark Foundation. She took pleasure in feeding and watching the foxes, deer, squirrels, groundhogs, and birds that frequented her yard, but her happiest times were spent with her extensive family, whom she adored.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 17, 2025, Reed & Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where relatives and friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
