Brian Andrew Kohler, affectionately known as Drew, passed away at home on May 31, 2026. Born on April 14, 1966, Drew graduated William Penn Charter in 1984 and was a proud kicker on the football team.
The passing of Drew leaves behind an immeasurable sadness for all that knew and loved him. He’ll be deeply missed by his wife, Theresa, his daughter, Sarah (Remy) and his grandson, Reece. His stepdaughters, Amanda, Jennifer, Rachael, and Sarah and his nine step-grandchildren will also miss his jokes, laughter and collections of toys to fight over. Drew is also survived by his father, Richard, and siblings Richard Kohler (Sandy), Deborah Sewell (David), and Pam. Known to his beloved nephews and nieces as Uncle Buck, his passing leaves a void for so many.
Drew was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and unwavering love to those fortunate enough to know him. Whether you knew him as Brian, Drew, Uncle Buck or Andy – if you knew him you know the ones he loved meant everything to him. He was more than a husband, father, or grandfather. He was a trusted friend, a source of wisdom and encouragement, someone who would pull ivy out of a stone wall with you for five hours after your kids go to bed, someone you could count on and who loved unconditionally.
Drew loved so many things in life. You could find him watching his Philly sport teams (and leaving the room the second a bad play happened), hitting golf balls in the yard, spending time at the creek, or labelling the toys that he got from the dollar store as he wasn’t entirely keen on sharing. One of the most “Drew” things he did was print out full size photos (mostly unflattering for those pictured) and put them up around the house. Perhaps his most favorite pastime of all was facetiming with his beloved grandson Reece, a relationship that brought him so much happiness and pride.
Drew is preceded in death, by his mother, Patricia Kohler, whose memories Drew cherished deeply.
Drew did not want a typical funeral service, rather he wanted those who loved him to celebrate his life and the memories they hold dear. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
