Charles W. Arnold, Jr.

Charles W. Arnold, Jr. of Furlong, PA died Monday, May 19, 2025. He was 90 and the husband of the late Preceda R. Arnold (nee Martin) with whom he shared sixty years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles W. Arnold, Sr. and Rose Mary Lahman Arnold.

“Charlie” attended Resurrection of Our Lord grade school, Dobbins Vocational-Technical High School graduating with honors in Machine Design & Drafting and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College. He married Preceda Martin two weeks after graduation from Lafayette living in Philadelphia for sixteen years before moving to Doylestown Township in the house built by himself and his father.

After spending several years in industry, he started his own company as a manufacturers’ representative in industrial sales, originally as A-TEK Associates followed by a partnership with J.R. Simpson, Inc. Next was the formation of Arcon, Inc. and Charlie served as president until retirement.

Charlie was engaged in many activities after retirement including handy-man jobs and with Seniors-Helping-Seniors.With his wife, family and friends, he spent many weekends at their vacation home in the Poconos enjoying skiing, boating and relaxation.

Charlie is survived by his two daughters: Preceda “Terri” Keeble, her husband, Barry and Charlene Fessler, her husband, Curren; his five grandsons: Eric (Ginger) Keeble, Andrew (Sharon) Keeble, Brandon (Emily) Fessler, Alex and Charlie Fessler; his two great-grandsons, Evan and Connor Keeble, his great-granddaughter, Sadie Fessler, as well as his sister, Rita Werner along with nieces and nephews.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 13, 2025, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, PA where relatives and friends will be received from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m. Interment will be private.
