Donald R. and Beth G. Fitzgerald

Donald R. and Beth G. Fitzgerald were lifelong residents of Bucks County and loved being a part of the Doylestown Community.

Beth Fitzgerald passed away due to complications from lung cancer on Monday, December 8, 2025. She was 87 years old. Her remains are interred at Mechanicsville Cemetery, Mechanicsville, PA. Beth’s family dates back to pre-Revolutionary Quaker settlers, farmers, and small business owners in the Central Bucks County region. Beth’s mother, Naomi Crawford, was a radio personality at WBUX in Doylestown from the early 1950s through the early 1970s. Beth's father, Edgar G. Crawford, owned and operated Crawford Real Estate along with wife, Naomi, in the 1970’s, on West Court Street, Doylestown, PA. Beth graduated from Doylestown H.S. in 1956. She had a talent for singing and creating art with needle and thread which was her life’s passion.

Donald (Don) Fitzgerald passed away at Neshaminy Manor on Sunday, May 3, 2026 due to complications from leukemia. He was 92 years old. His remains will be interred at the Washington’s Crossing National Cemetery for Veterans on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 9:30AM. As a child, Don lived in Point Pleasant, PA until the age of six then lived at Tabor Home for Needy and Destitute Children in Doylestown until the age of sixteen. He was drafted into the Army to serve in the Korean War in 1953, and completed his tour of duty in Germany. Upon returning home, Don trained as an auto mechanic. For many years, he collected antique cars and enjoyed rebuilding and rehabilitating them in his free time.

Don and Beth were married on April 12, 1958 in Buckingham, PA in the chapel of Trinity Episcopal Church. They owned and operated a Mobil gas and service station in Chalfont, PA on the corner of Route 152 and Butler Pike from the early 1970’s until mid the 1990’s. They also owned and operated a Coastal gas and service station in Plumsteadville, PA from the mid 1970’s until the mid 2000’s. In retirement, Don worked for Keenan Mercedes and more recently, Faulkner Mercedes of Doylestown until the age of 92.

Don and Beth are survived by two daughters, Deborah A. Kaesshaefer and Tina M. Myers, four grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Beth is survived by her sister Becky DeBridgida. A joint memorial service for Don and Beth will be held at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road Doylestown, PA, on Friday, June 19, 2026, with a visitation from 11-12 and a Memorial Service to follow at 12PM. A luncheon will be available at the home of Tina Myers starting at 1:00pm.
