Edward Hutchinson, Jr.

Edward Hutchinson, Jr., a devoted family man and proud veteran, passed away on November 19, 2025, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Born on July 25, 1951, in Newark, New Jersey, Edward lived a life marked by love, laughter, and commitment.

Throughout his 74 years, Edward was a source of joy and inspiration to those fortunate enough to know him. He cherished the time spent with his family, creating lasting memories, particularly during gatherings in Ocean City, New Jersey. Edward's sense of humor and quick wit endeared him to many, while his caring nature and loyalty were hallmarks of his character. He was a dog lover whose heart belonged to his best friend Zachary, who passed less than one year earlier.

Edward was honored to serve in the United States Navy for 23 years, retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in 1993. His military career was decorated with numerous accolades including three Navy Achievement Medals, the Coast Guard Special Operations Service Ribbon, and several other commendations reflecting his dedication and service to his country.

A proud graduate of Madison High School, Class of 1969, Edward had a profound love for classic cars, particularly his cherished 1976 Pontiac Trans Am. He was an active participant in local community events and took immense pride in his patriotism, which shone brightly in all aspects of his life.

Edward is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Hutchinson, with whom he shared 46 beautiful years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Edward D Hutchinson, Karleen Hutchinson, DJ Hutchinson, and Krystyna Hutchinson, who will forever carry forward his legacy of love and kindness. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Jeff Hutchinson, his brother in-law Craig Cairns, and his beloved grandson, Brantley, who brought him immense joy and pride.

He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Dolores Hutchinson, who provided him with a foundation of love and support throughout his life.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Edward's remarkable life at a memorial service on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM, to be held at Reed & Steinbach Funeral Home, located at 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, PA.

Edward Hutchinson, Jr. will be deeply missed but always remembered for his loving spirit, unwavering loyalty, and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey.
