Edward Kallatch

Edward "Ed" Kallatch, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on September 21, 2025, at Abington Hospital. He was born on July 7, 1943, in Point Pleasant, Pennsylvania, and his journey through life was marked by hard work, dedication, and a love for family.

Ed dedicated 37 years of his life to Lehigh Valley Dairies, where he worked as a truck driver, showcasing the strong work ethic that he instilled in his sons. His professional journey began even earlier, as he spent seven years at SPS.

A proud graduate of Central Bucks High School in 1961, Ed excelled as an athlete, particularly as a pitcher for the Central Bucks baseball team. His talent for the sport caught the attention of major league scouts, and he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles, a testament to his skill and determination.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ed was known for his infectious smile, especially during cherished moments with his family. He found joy in spending time with his brother, William, as they visited local breweries, sharing laughs and memories. Ed was an avid supporter of all Philadelphia sports teams.

Ed is survived by his loving spouse, Helen Kallatch; his sons, Edward Kallatch and Scott Kallatch; daughters-in-law, Jennifer and Shari; and his brother, William Kallatch, along with his sister-in-law, Tammy. Also survived by grandchildren Nick (Bethany) Joe (Jenna) and Kelli and three great granddaughters. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is mourned by all who knew him.

He joins in eternal rest his parents, Alexander and Frances Kallatch; his brother, Butchie and his sister, Helen Weismann. Ed's legacy of positivity, commitment to family, and love for life will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, September 26, 2025, Immanuel Church, 1260 Welsh Rd., Lansdale PA, where relatives and friends will be received from 10:30AM until the time of the service. 

The family requests wearing Philadelphia sports team apparel and casual dress.
