Ellen C. Bill

Ellen C. Bill (Cooney, McDonald), 93, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026.

Ellen was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered on love, strength, and family. She carried herself with quiet grace and was known for her warmth, kindness, and steady presence. Family was always her greatest priority, and the love she gave so freely will continue through generations.

Born a twin, Ellen had a lively spirit from a young age. In her early twenties, she participated in a beauty contest, and throughout her life she loved to sing, especially her favorite Christmas songs, filling her home and heart with joy.

For the last 17 years of her life, Ellen lived with Ellen Renda, who provided loving and devoted care, ensuring her comfort and happiness.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Cooney and James Bill; her beloved son, Donald Cooney; and her son-in-law, Joe Renda.

Ellen is survived by her loving children: Ellen Renda, Karen Cirillo and her partner Tim Riley, and Gary Cooney. She was also the loving mother of John Cirillo.

She was a cherished grandmother to Ashley Cirillo; Julie Barrett and her husband Nick Barrett; Anthony Cirillo and his wife Nellie Cirillo; Jessica Van Osten and her husband Peter Van Osten; and Michael Cirillo and his partner McCaela Holland; and a beloved great-grandmother to Mason Monroe, Gemma Miller, Arlo Miller, Dominic Cirillo, and Ava Van Osten.

Ellen will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her devotion to family, her gentle strength, her love of music, and the lasting legacy of love she leaves behind.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 29, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Doylestown. Viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass. Burial will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery.
