As a professional engineer, Ernie dedicated many years to his career as the owner of Knight Engineering until his well-deserved retirement. His expertise and passion for engineering earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Outside of his professional life, Ernie proudly served in the Army, where he was a talented member of the army band, playing the trombone with a skill that reflected his love for music.

Ernie was not only known for his professional accomplishments but also for his generous spirit. Additionally, he was a long-time member of the Warrington Rotary Club, further demonstrating his commitment to community service.

In his personal life, Ernie found joy in simple pleasures. He loved sitting by the pool with a good book and a refreshing rum punch, and his happiest moments were often spent with his beloved dogs, Bella and Conor. He also enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean, boating on the Chesapeake, and skiing in the Poconos. Those who knew him will remember not just his accomplishments but the warmth he brought into their lives. He had a particular fondness for smooth jazz, which became the soundtrack of many joyful moments spent with family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Carole Knight, and their loving children, Heather Pelletier and Chris Knight. He was a proud grandfather to Matthew Knight, Lexi Pelletier, and Sophie Knight, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.
