Ewa Majdak, born on March 23, 1955, in Poland, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital, after a lengthy illness.

Known for her warm and welcoming presence, Ewa was someone who always made you feel at home. She was the first to greet anyone at the door, embodying a spirit of hospitality that left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her home was a welcoming space filled with love, laughter, and the delightful aromas of her famous Polish dishes, which she would lovingly prepare during family gatherings.

Ewa loved nothing more than soaking up the sunshine to a mesmerizing golden hue and growing plants that could quite possibly sing in perfect harmony. If there were an Olympics for gardening, she would have brought home the gold. Her flowers seemed to bloom just to impress her.

And when it came to music, let's just say that her taste could be heard two neighborhoods over. If you thought your ears were ringing, it probably wasn't a sign of age—it was Ewa blasting her favorite tunes.

Ewa is survived by her beloved daughter, Marta, who’s hoping to carry on the family tradition of home-cooked meals, though there’s a valid concern that she might burn water; her cherished granddaughter, Kaya, who she loved dearly and son-in-law, Chris, who is just trying to keep up with all of the family traditions (good luck, buddy);

Ewa was preceded in death by her husband Jerzy, whose memory she carried dearly in her heart, along with that of her parents, Danuta and Eugeniusz, who had played significant roles in shaping the incredible woman she became.

As we remember Ewa, we celebrate the beauty of her spirit and the memories she created with those she loved. She will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, a gentle reminder of the importance of love, family, and the simple joys of life. Her love, kindness, and culinary delights will continue to flavor the lives of those she leaves behind. She will be dearly missed.

Services and interment will be private.
