Frederick R. Krauter, a lifelong resident of Doylestown, PA and most recently a resident of Neshaminy Manor in Warrington, PA died on October 9, 2024. He was 72 years old.

Born in Doylestown, PA, he was the son of the late William O. and Emma T. Beans Krauter.

Fred was part of the Central Bucks West graduating class of 1970. He attended Drexel University and Millersville University.

In 2014, after sixteen years of dedicated service, Fred retired from the Central Bucks School District. He worked out of the Tamanend location, where he was a computer technician in the IT department. He previously operated the family business, Krauter Supply Company, which he acquired from his father. In his younger years, Fred’s favorite hobby was jewelry making. He was a highly skilled and self-taught silversmith. He taught jewelry classes at the Grist Mill, where he resided. In the 1970’s he had his own jewelry store on Main Street in Doylestown. Fred was a former member of the Bucks County Guild of Craftsmen.

He adored his cats and cherished spending time with his family.

Fred is survived by his sister, Lynne Krauter; niece, Mariah Drenth-Cormick and her children: Kathryn and Nicholas; niece Kristen Kerwin (Bill) and their children: Emma, Danielle, Corinne and Liam; nephew, Lance Shiring (Jenn) and their children: Avery and Delaney; nephew, Kye Krauter (Jocely).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Shiring and brother, William Krauter.

Services and interment in Doylestown Cemetery will be held privately.
