Geoffrey A. Graham

January 15, 1951 — January 4, 2026

Doylestown, Pennsylvania

Geoffrey A. Graham, 74, passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2026 surrounded by his daughters and wife who adored him.

Geoff was born on January 15, 1951 to Andrew and Thea Graham. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York with a natural curiosity that led to a variety of hobbies. He played stickball on the city streets, learned to fly a Piper Tri-Pacer as a teen with his dad, and spent weekends sailing the Long Island Sound.

After graduating from high school, Geoff took a circuitous route to college, spending time as a bicycle messenger in New York City and a forest firefighter in the Rocky Mountains prior to matriculating at Penn State on a whim after a chance meeting with the dean. He realized quickly that he thrived in academia, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Penn State with a degree in English Literature. He went on to attend Temple Law School and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in the fall of 1979. He started his career as a Bucks County Public Defender, before eventually opening a solo practice of law and serving as the solicitor for the Bucks County Airport Authority. Geoff was part of a rare breed in that he did it all: criminal law and domestic law, with a particular focus on the Juvenile Dependency Court where he was appointed to the Court Conflict Panel to assist in difficult cases keeping families together. He is remembered by his colleagues for his integrity and his sharp wit.

Geoff is survived by his wife of 38 years, Polly, his daughters Kali (Miranda) and Tess (Matthew), and his beloved grandchildren Maxwell and Molly. He is also survived by his brothers Andrew and Angus, sisters Taya and Angela, his stepbrother Keith, their partners and children, as well as friends who loved and respected him. He met his wife on a blind date in 1986 and the rest was history. His world revolved around her and they lived like newlyweds until the day he died. He was an incredible father. He taught his girls to run, fly, swim, sail, speak up against injustice, and care for others. His legacy will live on forever in them and their families.

Geoff had many other great loves. He was an avid long-distance runner who completed the Marine Corps, New Jersey, and New York City marathons. There was nothing he loved more than a long weekend run along the towpath in Stockton, New Jersey. He loved to fly and piloted his family on all childhood vacations in his Cessna 172. He loved the Atlantic coast and was never more at home than when he was in the ocean. He was a connoisseur of breakfast foods, and could be found every weekend making waffles for his family while wearing one of his ubiquitous flannel shirts.

Geoff was the smartest person in every room, but more importantly he was deeply good in a way that is hard to come by. He had an unshakable moral compass and code of ethics that left him respected by his family, friends, and colleagues. He was generous with his time and compassion, both within his family and throughout his community. Geoff was a pragmatist – when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer he lived his life to the fullest, but he did not expect any miracles. Yet we all spent 74 years alongside the most loving husband, caring father, and generous friend. That, in itself, was a miracle.

Geoff was pre-deceased by his parents, Thea and Andrew, his stepmother Molly, his sister-in-law Steffi, and many great dogs (Snuffy, Snoopy, Babe, Chloe, Jake, Zoe, and Sophie).

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday January 10, 2026 from 10:00 AM  to 11:00 AM at Reed & Steinbach Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 11:00 AM. We encourage everyone to come with stories about Geoff to share.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center in Geoff’s memory.
