It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gwenda N. Posante . Gwen was born in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, but spent most of her life growing up and living in Oreland, PA, she later moved to Doylestown PA. Her presence will always be remembered as a beacon of warmth and resilience to all who were privileged to know her.
A graduate of Springfield High School, Gwen embarked on a fulfilling career as a telephone operator, a role she embraced with diligence and pride for over three decades. In her second career journey, Gwen worked at a children's daycare center, focusing her time caring for and looking after infants which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Gwen’s devotion extended beyond her career into her spiritual life. She was a lifelong member of Carmel Presbyterian Church, where she exemplified her commitment as a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the choir. These roles were among her proudest accomplishments, reflecting her passion for nurturing faith and bringing joy through music within her community.
Gwen is lovingly survived by her daughter, Laura L. Folkes; her brother, Walter J. Berry, and his wife Maggie; her nephew Andrew J. Berry, and his wife Dana, her niece Bonnie F. Berry; and her great nephews, Connor J. Berry and Dylan F. Berry. Additionally, Gwen’s life was brightened by the companionship of her beloved chihuahua, Mazzy, whose presence brought daily joy and comfort.
Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, Walter M. and Betty Berry; her nephew, Walter J. Berry Jr.; and her son-in-law, Mark A. Folkes. Their memories remain an enduring part of her story, treasured by those she leaves behind.
Throughout her life, Gwen was a beacon of kindness, reliability, and heartfelt devotion, touching many through her personal and spiritual commitments. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she enriched.
