Kevin Eric Heinselman, known for his vibrant spirit, deep kindness, and remarkable talents, passed away suddenly on March 29, 2026, in Philadelphia, PA, from endocarditis. Born on April 3, 1973, in Baltimore, MD, Kevin’s life was driven by a passionate dedication to his work, family, music, and the many joys that filled his days.

A graduate of Westminster High School in 1991, Kevin pursued his studies in journalism at the University of Maryland. Yet it was his love for music that truly defined his career and personal journey. He channeled his enthusiasm and expertise into becoming a top piano salesman, trainer, mentor, and manager at Jacob’s Music, where his unwavering commitment and sincere desire to bring out the best in others left an indelible mark on colleagues and customers alike. Kevin’s exceptional ability to play anything and everything by ear on the piano was just one facet of his musical talent, underscoring a lifelong passion that he generously shared.

Kevin was an excellent cook, delighting friends and family with crab cakes, fresh-baked bread and other dishes inspired by multiple cuisines. His love for entertaining was ever-present, whether through singing karaoke or playing games with his children and grandchildren, telling jokes, or putting on a piano show, he brought laughter and joy to those around him. He cherished spending time with his family at Bethany Beach and found solace in nature walks at Lake Galena, where his love for hiking and exploring flourished. These pursuits revealed the essence of a man who loved life fully, approached each day with energy and humor, and never shied away from sharing his big heart.

His personality was as dynamic as it was warm. Known for his strong work ethic, infectious humor, and boundless energy, Kevin was a mentor who took genuine pleasure in nurturing others, encouraging them to shine in their own unique ways. He combined his love of nature and music with a profound willingness to help, embodying a spirit that uplifted everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Kevin’s family was central to his life. He is survived by his wife, Amy Heinselman, and their three children: Ben, Taylor, and Ella, and grandchildren Richie,  Hudson and Silas Rohrmiller (sons of Taylor Heinselman and Richard Rohrmiller). He also leaves behind his devoted mother, Dianne Heinselman, sister, Pamela; and brother, Kurt.

Kevin’s memory is further cherished in the legacy of his father, Donald, who preceded him in death.

Throughout his life, Kevin worked hard, played hard, and loved deeply. His capacity to find joy in helping others be their best selves was a testament to his remarkable character. Kevin’s light touched many, and his absence will be profoundly felt by all who were blessed to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of passion, generosity, and unwavering kindness that will continue to inspire.

May he rest in peace, forever remembered with love and respect.
