Margaret K. Smith, known affectionately as Peggy, passed away peacefully at her home on March 21, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 25, 1961, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Peggy dedicated her life to the love and care of her family and friends, embracing her role as a devoted homemaker with grace and unwavering commitment.

Peggy's life was marked by her warm and welcoming spirit. She had an extraordinary ability to put others before herself, always offering kindness and a radiant smile that could brighten any room. Her love for animals and flowers reflected her gentle nature, while her infectious laughter and joyous presence left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A true lover of all things country, Peggy found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished her summers spent on the beaches of Wildwood, New Jersey, creating treasured memories with those she held dear. Holiday celebrations were especially meaningful to her, and she took great pride in preparing Christmas dinners that brought the family together in warmth and festivity.

Her proudest accomplishment was raising a large and loving family, a testament to her dedication and nurturing heart. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Smith; daughters Sherry Bartle and Kelly Smith; son Bruce Smith III; and grandchildren Courtney Bartle, Brooklyn Shelton, Jayla Shelton, and Bently Shelton. Peggy’s family also includes five brothers and two sisters who carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Brenda Shelton.

Margaret’s enduring devotion to her family, her joyful spirit, and her generous soul will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her life stands as a shining example of love, compassion, and unwavering strength.
