Patricia Coupe Mullen passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 15, 2025.

Born on November 20, 1956, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of James John Coupe Sr. and Margaret Donoghue Coupe.Patty lived a life defined by strength, devotion, and deep empathy for others.

She shared a loving marriage with Michael Mullen since 1980 and was the proud mother of Sarah Mullen Burkholder and her husband, Travis. She cherished her grandchildren, Gunnar and Leighton, who brought tremendous joy and light into her life.She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses: David M. and Mary Ann Coupe, Margaret M. and Raymond Vesci, and Barbara C. and Guillermo Bernal, and sister-in-law, Judith D. Coupe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James J. Coupe Jr. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, all of whom she cared for deeply and supported throughout their lives.

Family was the centerpiece of Patty’s world. She was known for hosting family gatherings, creating a warm and welcoming space where memories were made and traditions were strengthened. She loved trips to the Jersey Shore, shopping outings, and listening to the music of Elvis Presley, which always lifted her spirits. Patty held onto the magic of Christmas year-round and was often found listening to Christmas carols in the summertime. 

Those who knew her will remember her as strong-willed, devoted, and empathetic, a woman whose actions consistently reflected her belief that family is everything. Her legacy is one of selflessness and compassion, qualities she demonstrated daily and passed on to those fortunate enough to know her.Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory forever cherished.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 21, 2025 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, where the family will receive guests from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m.
