Rebecca A Sisca

February 12, 1946 — January 28, 2026

Doylestown, PA

Rebecca Ann Sisca, of Doylestown, PA, passed away on January 28, 2026. Born in Jefferson, IA on February 12, 1946 to John and Elizabeth Piepel, she forever retained her small-town roots, strong work ethic, and joy of family. Her childhood was spent working on the family farm beside her siblings who shared her commitment to the land and kindness to others. Rebecca later attended Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, IA then traveled to the sparkling New York City to begin a career as a flight attendant for TWA which spanned 39 years. Rebecca became an "online" flight attendant instructor for TWA and after retirement, she proudly chaired the Philadelphia Chapter of Silver Wings International, staying busy hosting events, collecting memorabilia, and keeping friendships close. In 1971 she married Ronald Sisca, a dashing pilot with the US Navy, who captured her heart and was smitten by her charm. They spent their early years living in Warminster, PA commuting to their commercial airline bases and traveled the world on countless adventures. Together, they raised three children in Doylestown who all shared Rebecca's joy of travel and commitment to family. Kristen Abboud (John), Scott Sisca (Kim), and Stephanie Pojar (Jason) found joy and comfort in their mother's cooking, bedtime stories, and conversations. They smile remembering her recipes of Italian wedding soup, St. Patty’s corned beef and cabbage, and her famous cheesecake and orange bread. The family enjoyed extensive travel and Rebecca loved sharing stories of her childhood on the farm and journeys around the world. She also loved everything about being a grandmother and is affectionately known as "Nonna" to all seven of her devoted grandchildren. She loved cheering them on in sports, plays, mock trials, and will always be their biggest fan. Her recipes and compassion will continue to shine through them. Rebecca loved spending time with her girlfriends and the Hens who were another source of joy, comfort, and companionship. Because of her family, friends, faith in God, Rebecca lived the most beautiful life and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Our world is a better place because of her light.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown where the family will receive guests from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m.    Interment will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 5, 2026 in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown.
