Robert D. Murphy of Warrington passed away on August 30, 2025.
Bob was born in Philadelphia, grew up in Hatboro, and lived most of his life in Doylestown Township.He graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University. He spent his career as a gas pipeline engineer, working for PECO, BOC, and STV.
He is survived by his wife Sherrie, his children: Beth and Chuck (Becca); his granddaughters: Emma and Ashley, his sister, Carole (Ron); nephews: Jeff, Eric and Shawn, and niece, Cecily, as well as great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his youngest daughter, Emily, his parents, Walter and Doris, and three black Labrador Retrievers - Kelly, Mindy and Lucy
He loved his family, fixing anything and everything around the house or on the cars, taking care of the yard, reading every sign at a museum, gadgets and tools, a bowl of chocolate peanut butter ice cream, and a cold Yuengling.
Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Doylestown Presbyterian Church, 127 East Court Street, Doylestown. Interment will be private.
