It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert L. Werner Jr., who left us peacefully on
August 11, 2025, in his hometown of Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
Born on October 23, 1954, Robert was a cherished husband, father, son, and friend who lit up the lives of those around him with kindness, generosity, and a sense of humor.
Robert, affectionately known as Bob, was proud of his roots, having graduated in 1972 from CB West High School and Middle Bucks Tech School. He gained valuable experience working alongside his grandfather, Howard Angeny. After his grandfather’s death, Bob started his own business, Werner Building Company. This business not only represented Bob’s craftsmanship and determination but became a familial bond as he worked alongside his youngest daughter, Sam.
Beyond his career, Bob was deeply passionate about coaching ice hockey and creating special memories with his family. He thrived on the ice, mentoring young players and sharing his love for the game. His daughters, Nicki and Sam, will forever cherish the many weekends spent at ice hockey games, where Bob was always their loudest cheerleader.
Bob’s pride was unmistakably evident in one of his proudest accomplishments: starting a girls' ice hockey team for his daughters, fueling their passions and fostering teamwork among young athletes. His love for sports extended beyond the ice, as he passionately cheered for Alabama football, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Bob's life was filled with moments that showcased his hardworking nature and ability to make those around him laugh. His kind personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met, and his generous spirit resonated through countless interactions in his community and family life.
He leaves behind a devoted family, including his wife, Kathryn; his two daughters, Nicole and Samantha; and his son-in-law, Chris, who all carry his memory in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Werner Sr. and Alice M. Werner.
As we reflect on the life of Bob, we remember the laughter, the lessons, and the immeasurable love he shared. His memory will forever be embedded in the hearts of all who knew him, reminding us that a legacy of kindness lasts far beyond the years we are given.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown where the family will greet guests from 9:30 a.m., until the time of the service.
