Thomas P. McDaid, III, lovingly known to friends and family as Tommy, passed away on August 10, 2025, in Doylestown, at the age of 56. Born on October 17, 1968, in Philadelphia, Tommy was a radiant light that graced the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A graduate of Central Bucks West High School, Tommy embraced life with an enthusiasm that was contagious. He was an active member of Central Bucks Special Friends and participated in the Special Olympics, pouring his heart into every endeavor and embodying the very spirit of camaraderie and joy. Tommy had a special touch; he could light up any room with just his smile, and he possessed the incredible ability to bring out the best in everyone around him. Wherever he went, he was affectionately dubbed “the mayor,” a testament to his magnetic personality and his talent for creating connections.

Tommy's passions defined a life lived fully. He was a dedicated bowler and bingo player, reveling in the thrill of competition and the joy of community. Weekends often found him at the bowling alley or enjoying spirited games of bingo, where laughter and friendly banter filled the air. Tommy loved to shop with his mother, making these outings cherished moments of joy and companionship. His love for coloring brought out a creative side that reflected his vibrant spirit, reminding us all of the simple pleasures in life.

Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Ken McDaid, and sister-in-law, Sandra; his beloved nephews, David John and his wife, Mollie, along with James Patrick and Sean Michael; and his dear niece, Alyson Leigh. Each family member carries a piece of Tommy's heart within them, as he touched their lives in profound and uplifting ways.

Tommy now joins his father, Thomas Patrick McDaid Jr., and mother, Margaretha McDaid, who predeceased him. Their love and guiding presence will undoubtedly comfort him in the embrace of eternity.

As we remember Tommy, we celebrate a man who lived his life with unyielding kindness, boundless energy, and an unwavering love for family and friends. Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. Tommy McDaid will be missed deeply, but his memory will shine brightly, a beacon of love and joy that will continue to inspire and uplift everyone he ever touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, August 18, 2025 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where the family will greet guests from 10 a.m, until the time of the service.  Interment will be private.
