Barbara A. Barber

Barbara Anne Barber, of Furlong, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was 64 and the wife for 42 years of Robert S. Barber.

Born in Calicoon, New York, she was the daughter of Leonard and Gertrude Kutcher Martin, of Pipersville.

Barb was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandmother and dedicated teacher.

Upon graduating from Roanoke College in 1976, Barb was employed by the Central Bucks School District as a secondary math teacher for 35 years, teaching at Central Bucks High School East and Unami Middle School.

Barb was an avid baker, enjoyed vacationing with her family at the Outer Banks, golfing with her friends at Whispering Pines, NC, gardening, watching her birds, sewing projects, weekly yoga classes and morning and afternoon walks. Barb especially treasured family time and valued her many close friendships, new and old.

Prior to her illness, she volunteered with numerous blood drives at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her daughters: Jennifer Conicello, her husband, Chad, of Furlong; Kathleen Ordile, her husband, Greg, of Chalfont; her grandsons: William and Samuel Conicello as well as a sister: Kathleen Robertson, of Virginia.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral Mass 10 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown. Interment will follow Mass in Doylestown Cemetery. Her viewing will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening, December 28, at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Roanoke College for the Barbara A. Barber Endowment Fund, 221 College Lane, Salem, Virginia 24153.
