Dale Benner of the Dock Woods community in Lansdale, died on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. He was 81 years old and the loving husband for more than 52 years of Elaine (King) Benner.
Dale was the son of the late Norman and Ethel Benner.
He was an avid cyclist, walker and overall fitness enthusiast and continued to easily finish 30-mile rides in his 80’s. Dale was an accomplished wood worker and made beautiful pieces of furniture for family and friends. By trade, he was an HVAC technician but there was no mechanical task he couldn’t master. He was a handyman to many friends, neighbors and family.
Dale was also a proud and devoted member of Lenape Valley Church where he enjoyed fellowship, friendships and was a member of the choir for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters: Cindy (Bob) and Kerry (Bates), six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as two brothers: Doug (Fab) and Herb (Ros). Also surviving is a large extended family and fellow cyclists.
He was predeceased by his brother, Ken (Anna Mary) and his sister, Doris.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service at 10 a.m., Monday, December 20, at Lenape Valley Church, 321 West Butler Pike, New Britain, PA 18901 where the family will greet guests from 9 a.m., until the time of the service. Masks are recommended. Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler. The service will be live-streamed for those who are not able to attend.
