Elaine Lois Carlson, a resident of Doylestown, passed away at Pine Run Lakeview on Wednesday,  January 3, 2024. She was 88 years old.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Gustave A. and Marie Carlson.

Elaine graduated from Central Bucks High School, class of 1953 and from West Chester University class of 1957. She began teaching career in the Souderton School District prior to moving to the Central Bucks School District.

Elaine enjoyed playing tennis, traveling the world, painting and loved all animals. She also enjoyed being on numerous committees in Doylestown Township, as well as serving as the president of the Doylestown Art League.

She was the loving Aunt of: Gus Carlson, his wife, Nancy, of Ocala Fl., Art Carlson, his wife, Leisa, of Lenhartsville, Pa., Susan Strollo, her husband, Jack, of Souderton, Pa., Brenda Ditalia of Hatfield, Pa., Rob Carlson, his wife, Dawn, of Doylestown and Frank Moore of Warminster. She was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Moore and brother, Gus (Sonny) Carlson.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown where the family will greet guests from 10 a.m., until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler, Pa.

Elaine’s family would like extend their gratitude to the staff at Pine Run Village Lakeview Center who cared for Elaine so graciously.
