James A. Reith

James “Jim” Reith of Doylestown, PA, passed away on Mon, January 8, 2024, at his home after a brave battle with cancer. He was 76 yrs old and the husband for 42 years of Rosalyn “Rose” Reith.

Born January 9, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Howard and Doris (Black) Reith.

Jim was a graduate of Pennridge High School, class of 1964, excelling in track and field and was a 1st Team All Buxmont defensive end in football.

He served in the US Marine Corp as Sergeant from 1966 until 1970 and in Vietnam from 1968 until 1969. He had an associate’s degree from Bucks County Community College and attended Oklahoma City University. Jim was a member and past president of the Blue Comet and AMA clubs and loved riding his Motoguzzi bike.

He was a brick layer in commercial construction. In retirement, he drove school bus for 1st Student for Central Bucks School District. He enjoyed spending time with his three grandkids, time at his cabin in the Poconos and on his boat in Lake Wallenpaupack.

In addition fo his wife, he is survived by his son, Devon (Beka) Reith, and his daughter, Selina Reith, as well as his grandchildren: Emmett, Gavin and Nora Reith; his sisters, Patricia (Phil) Edwards and Barbara (John) Stavorski and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his infant twin daughters: Krista Rose and Regina Suzanne Reith and his sister, Linda Wolfinger.

Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service at 3 p.m., January 20 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where the family will greet guests from 2 p.m., until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
