Michael Foran

April 15, 2023

Michael Foran of Doylestown passed away surrounded by love on Saturday, April 15th, he was 54 years old and the beloved husband of Paula Foran, father of Alexander Foran, Jacob Foran and Emma Foran.

Born in Glenside, PA he was the son of Frances Foran (Wisniewski) and the late Joseph Foran.

Michael graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School and attended Temple University where he studied art. He began a long career in the printing and marketing industry and worked for Construction Equipment Guide, Prudential, CCI, Krames/Staywell, US Postal Service and most recently Strata. Throughout his career he met many people who became friends, Micheal never met a stranger.

Michael had many passions over the years. He was a talented artist, loved working in chalk pastel and enjoyed creating art for his family and friends. He loved riding his bike and even bike packing in recent years. He really enjoyed his weekend rides with his friends. While attending Temple he was part of the rowing team and would still take his scull to Lake Galena and row in the early morning hours.

Michael enjoyed traveling and had his favorite places we visited many times over the years including Mexico, Maine, Martha’s Vineyard, Myrtle Beach and his best friend’s mountain house here in Pennsylvania.

Michael had a love of the outdoors which included planting in his garden each year so he could enjoy his outside time in warmer months.

He cherished his time he spent with his children and many of their friends became part of our extended family. He adored his nieces, grand niece and nephews.

Michael’s friends were an important part of his life and in the last year spending time with them was the one thing he focused on.

In addition to his wife and children, Michael is survived by his brothers, Kenneth Foran (Judi), Joseph Foran (Michelle), and his sister, Mary Rooney (Peter). His mother-in-law, Lucille Shillady, his sister and brother-in-law Lisa and Antonio Dovali, his nieces, nephews and many friends.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at the Michener Art Museum on May 21st.

Interment will be private.
