Patricia M. Hebling

January 2, 2022

Patricia Mary Hebling was a sister and caregiver. She left the world on January 2, 2022 at the age of 82.

Born in Laurel Springs, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late John Hebling and Josephine Szczur.

Throughout her life, both her biological and chosen family were everything to her. Patricia made people feel special by showing up to family events, like baseball games and musicals and hosting her annual Easter celebration. She always opened her heart and home to others in need of support.

Patricia converted her basement into a clubhouse for neighborhood kids in Baltimore and changed the lives of many foster kids.

In addition to her love of family, Patricia had two fulfilling careers. She began her teaching career as a sister of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and continued teaching in Baltimore. For the next 25 years, she brought joy into several senior centers as an activities coordinator and director.

Throughout her life, Patricia could also be found celebrating the simple things. She loved performing clarinet at senior centers, gardening on her patio and going on walks with her dogs.

Patricia is survived by her siblings Agnes, Mary Jo, Tom (Carol) and Larry (Bebe) and her niece, Jade, as well as
countless other nieces, nephews and foster children.

We will celebrate Patricia’s life in a Mass at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 6th at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Avenue, Chalfont, Pa. The family will greet guests from 9:30 a.m., until the time of Mass. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Patricia’s name may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 (
