Phyllis C. Twesme

Phyllis C. Twesme of Solebury Township, passed away at home on November 16, 2019.  She was 82 years old and the beloved wife of Edward N. Twesme whom she married in 2003.

Born in Upper Moreland Township, she was the only child of the late George and Mabel (Arnold) Augustine.  

Phyllis was a 1955 graduate of Abington High School and of Pierce College of Philadelphia. She worked as an Executive Assistant at LRP Publications from which she retired. She was active in Bucks County politics for many years and was a member of Eastern Star.

Her lifelong interests were in the arts and music. She loved design and color coordination of both clothing and home decor. This led her to pursuing painting and her creating a number of works for her home. She held a great appreciation for flowers and nature with adventures in skiing, biking and running. Among her treasured memories were of her extensive travels to Europe, Australia and almost all of the states of the United States.

She loved her church also and was a long time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Abington and most recently of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her stepdaughters: Kristine Twesme of Narberth, PA; Kimberly Twesme of Walnut Creek, CA and Karena Twesme Stoner (Tammy) of Basel, Switzerland; grandchildren: Cedar, Rosie and Oliver Stoner of Basel; cousins: Elizabeth Newton of Naples, FL and Edward Scheuring of Lansdale, PA; goddaughter: Diane Serravalle of Oxford, GA, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved English Springer Spaniel, Annie.

Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2019 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 where the family will greet guests from 10 a.m., until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
