On Monday, December 12, Raymond “Todd” Mathews, loving husband, father, son and brother passed away at the age of 47.
Born in Doylestown, Todd was the son of Mary Mathews and the late Raymond Mathews.
He was a recent newly wed of his loving wife, Delinda, father of Catherine and Isabella Mathews and brother of Stacey Tambason.
Todd was a life long resident of Pipersville, having graduated from Palisades High School in 1994. He worked at Delaware Valley University as a telecom technician. Todd loved and took pride in his job wiring buildings and putting in phone lines for the university and he was amazing at it. He was a Mr. Fix-It, always building things, re-doing his house and making everything tech savvy with all his knowledge.
There is nothing in this world Todd loved more than camping and his family. Todd could sit outside by a campfire even if it was 90°. Heloved his family more than anything and was such an amazing son, always making sure that his Mom was taken care of and fixing anything she needed help with. He was the type of person who lived life to the fullest; his motto was “live every day like it is your last.” And that he did.
He was always on the go, traveling, going to concerts, camping and getting together with his friends and family. Todd never took life for granted. He lived more life in 47 years than most do in a lifetime. He was a best friend to many. He was the guy who you would call if you needed help and he would always show up. You will never meet a more loving or caring person who was willing to go out of his way to help anyone, even if he just met you. He would make friends everywhere he went. Todd was also the life of the party; he always knew how to have a fun time. Right now, he is having a big bonfire up in heaven with his Dad, Scotty and all his other friends and already has a group of new friends up there. Until we meet again, love you forever and always. Our memories will go on forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 17 at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown, where the family will greet guests from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
